you said it originally had a 440. did it have air conditioning? have you thought about putting an AC compressor on the 426?
Now THAT'S a test drive.Nobody like to see somebody idle around a parking lot in classic muscle cars.Watch and learn here pls!
Well, what was the result? 426 BHP, or more?
It was 400rwhp and getting valve float from light valvesprings. Completely rebuilt in a different configuration now.
Nice...nothing.....sounds like a big block V8...nuff said❤
This is ear candy. My dad used to have a 1970 Dodge challenger whith a 440 sounds alike.
Play it again, Sam. That's how it's done folks.
HAD 69 RT 440/4SPEED, KICK LOTs OF ASS WITH THAT BUGGY.PAID 1700, SOLD FOR 300 BIG DOLLARs.
The year 666 but OK car
`if that's an orig it has a dana 60
People don't realize how expensive ANY classic HEMI Mopar is. It's because it's a racing engine that gets awful gas mileage and is meant for use on a racetrack. The HEMI depicted here easily tops 150 grand and could be pushing 200 grand in the near future. They're very rare cars and few exist today. They were very low production models thus today worth a fortune. FYI--less than 11,000 426 HEMI engines were built. Go Mopar!😎👍👍🤑🤑💰💰😎🇺🇲🇺🇸
You'd best give it to me for a week or so to make sure it's at the recommended 34-36° and happy. 😎 😁
oh such sweeet music!

I had a '73 Charger back in the day.....memories.
Love this ❤
It's your car do it the way you want it. I think it's sweet.
Very nicely done by someone that knows what they are doing! Cheers!
Back in the 70's my Roadrunner had a pistol grip shifter, that thing was long like a school bus shifter. It was cool as hell, but not really a good setup for speed shifting.
Love it! My dream car!! Growing up my dad had a 69 Ford Torino. That thing was a beast and sounded just a good as this Charger. Neighbors always knew when we were coming home 😂
I love that shit i could watch it all day. KBRHEMI here. Clearwater Fl. Thanks for posting sir
To have a 69 charger is a blessing. To have the 4 speed pistol grip and a hemi in one, is nothing short of a miracle
That's a lot of noise and rattle for not a lot of go, but a good piece of nostalgia.
Yes it was slow, much faster now.
Started as 426 now 518
No I intentionally kept it stock stroke. It's just a .060 over 426 so now 438ci.
Mopar Performance 👍
I'm crying with joy!!! Thanks for the ride!!!

I got an ad for Tesla on this video😂
I came here for Battinson Batmobile
I never drove a 4 speed Charger, but Is the driver sitting far back? That shifter looks like a reach.
Price for pickup
Wow, thats a real CAR! John P.
Beautiful!
Awesome!
Question? Is there any better engineered V8 than the 426 hemi? Seems like all NHRA motors are hemi
Lol. I laugh because I was 12 in 1969. Whenever we saw a Charger, we'd look to see if it was a Hemi. I had only seen one my whole life, and a woman was driving it! Most people had 4 door cars or wagons.
MAN!!! Absolutely NOTHING, sounds like a big Mopar. I can listen to that rumble all day
Sounds similar to the black widow race venom exhaust I have on my car. 2.5" true duals.
When cars where awesome. I got a 76 Corvette with a forged bottom end solid roller 388 stroker makes around 500HP and it’s fun like this. 10.90’s in the 1/4. 0:33 When cars didn’t have a babysitter computer just a cable and your right foot, if you wanted to wreck it, it would let you. 😂😂
The forethought in your work is amazing, tastefully executed! What’s next 🤪
Thanks Chris! :)
This thing is gorgeous! Thansk for the upload!!!!
Thank you!
How much?
It's not for sale.
これが本当の車なんです! やっぱりアメ車は最高!!!!
Can we see more of this car??
Hello, sure is there anything in particular you would like to see?
@@IINNTTMMDD88 all of it! It's a gorgeous 69 charger! The only car better in my opinion is a 68 charger!
Hello, I added a short overview. Thanks! ruclips.net/video/epHDiaDLba8/видео.html
Ah..... morning ear porn!!!
hellyeah
NOW THATS POWER! THANKS. John P.
Awesome
Yeeehawww
Damn! I'm guessing well over 500 horsepower? It sounds really good with the Pypes mufflers.
Yes and thanks! It put down 650rwhp 510rwtq on a dynojet. It's a mega block with stock stroke crank, .060 over bore (so 438ci). Ported iron heads. 262/262 112lsa cam motion low lash solid roller. CP pistons, 12.4-1 compression. Edelbrock intake converted to EFI. Holley HP efi. Coil on plug. (ford coyote coils). Flex fuel/ E85. Peak power at 7,250. Shifted at 7800rpm. Trans is a Tremec TKO600. Mcleod RST twin disc clutch. Strange S60 with 4.56 gears.
Thanks for the response. I know the Hemi makes a lot of power but I heard that the Hemi was hard to keep tuned for the street due to the carburetors. It sounds like you have solved that issue. My dad was a MOPAR guy but it was the small block Duster 340. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I used to run dual AVS2 carbs on this engine when it was much milder. Pretty easy to tune and get running nicely just more time consuming (for me anyway)
the SOUND was a real big part, along with plastered to the seat!
